My Thoughts ...
Have you ever used an Eminence product that smelled so good you thought you could probably eat it? Let’s be honest, most Eminence products smell good enough to eat, but none compare to the Strawberry Rhubarb Masque. But let me assure you, it doesn’t taste as good as it smells. Believe me…! However, this masque doesn’t need to taste good. What matters is the effect this product will have on your skin and the transformation that occurs after just ONE use! I truly feel any skin type can use this masque as it's got a little something for every skin type.
As you read above in the key ingredients, strawberries contain a natural salicylic acid that brighten the skin and reduce the appearance of pores while rhubarb acts as an astringent and has healing properties. Another powerhouse ingredient in this (and other Eminence strawberry products) is it’s botanical hyaluronic acid from the marshmallow plant. The marshmallow plant can hold 1000x it’s weight in water which translates to how it transfers and holds moisture in your skin. It is a major part of what makes this masque deeply hydrating, smoothing and plumping the skin all at once. That’s why I say that you will see a noticeable difference after only one use. With continued use, you’ll see seriously dramatic results. I’ve definitely noticed a reduced appearance of fine lines and smoother, firmer skin. My skin feels more supple and extremely soft after using this masque. I couldn't stop touching my skin after my first use because I was just floored by how velvety my skin felt. My face just felt comfortable. I have pretty dry skin in the winter so saying my skin felt comfortable means a lot.
One of the most awesome things about this masque is that it’s multifunctional. Not only can you use it as a masque/treatment after exfoliation for intense hydration and healing but you can also use this masque as a night cream. I wouldn’t use it every night as it’s very rich but it can be used a couple times a week if you’re suffering from dry spots of just feel like your skin could use an extra pick-me-up. That's a sweet little bonus in my books.
Overall, this masque gets a 5 star review from me. As a sufferer of dry and aging skin, I really see the benefits from this masque and I’m so happy to add to it my skin care routine permanently. Thank you, Eminence for another amazing product! There's really nothing I don't like. From the smell to the texture to the packaging, I'd be surprised to hear someone say they don't like it!
